Odd Semester (July - December)
Admissions & Commencement
- July: Admission process for all UG and PG programmes.
- August 1st Week: Commencement of classes for all semesters.
- August: Induction programmes for first-semester students.
Academic Activities
- September: First Sessional Examinations.
- October: Submission of assignments and project work.
- November: Second Sessional Examinations.
- November End: Last day of classes for the semester.
Examinations & Break
- December: End Semester Examinations.
- Late December: Commencement of Winter Vacation.
Even Semester (January - June)
Commencement of Classes
- January: Classes resume after winter vacation.
- February: Finalization of course registrations.
Academic Activities
- March: First Sessional Examinations.
- April: Submission of assignments and dissertations.
- May: Second Sessional Examinations.
- May End: Last day of classes for the semester.
Examinations & Break
- June: End Semester Examinations.
- Late June: Commencement of Summer Vacation.

- Winter Vacation: Late December to Early January
Public Holidays
The university will remain closed on all national holidays and state government holidays as notified. This includes but is not limited to Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Bihu festivals, etc. A detailed holiday list will be published separately.
