Official guidelines regarding the refund of admission and other fees for all academic programs at J.B. College, in accordance with UGC norms.
Policy Preamble
Commitment to Transparency
J.B. College is committed to a transparent and fair policy regarding the refund of fees. This policy is formulated in accordance with the guidelines on fee refunds and student grievances as stipulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Students and parents are advised to read these rules carefully before completing the admission process.
The policy applies to the refund of tuition fees and other miscellaneous fees collected at the time of admission for all undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Refund Eligibility and Percentages
The refund amount is determined by the timing of the application for withdrawal.

Note: The 'last date of admission' refers to the final date for admitting students as officially declared by the college, not the last date for fee payment. A processing fee of ₹500 will be deducted from every approved refund amount.
How to Apply for a Refund
Application Procedure
- Obtain the Form: The student must obtain the official 'Fee Refund Application Form' from the college's administrative office or download it from the Forms & Formats page.
- Fill and Submit: The form must be filled out completely and submitted in person at the administrative office.
- Attach Documents: The application must be accompanied by the original admission fee receipt.
- Acknowledgement: The student will receive an acknowledgement slip upon submission, which should be retained for future reference.
- Processing: The refund will be processed and disbursed via bank transfer to the account specified in the application form, typically within 15-20 working days after approval.
Important Conditions
- The Admission Fee component is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Hostel fees, once paid, are non-refundable after a student has occupied the hostel room, even for a single day.
- Refund requests submitted via email or any other mode other than the prescribed application form will not be considered.
- In case of any dispute, the decision of the Principal, J.B. College, shall be final.
